Privacy Policy

This page is maintained by the app owner (Connect Dots) and describes how Connect Dots Planner, an internal content-approval tool, handles data.

What we collect

  • Account data: the email address used to sign in.
  • Content data: posts, captions, notes, chat messages, uploaded images, and approval status entered by team members.
  • Contact data: an optional mobile number a member enters themselves for text alerts, plus their consent choice and its timestamp.
  • Activity data: sign-in and sign-out events, and who changed an approval status and when.

How we use it

  • To operate the planner, review, and approval workflow.
  • To send transactional email and, for members who opt in, text alerts about approval status changes and @ mentions.
  • To keep an audit trail of account access and status changes.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers that operate the app on our behalf: our hosting and database provider, our email sending provider, and our SMS delivery provider (Telnyx). We do not sell, rent, or share personal data or mobile numbers with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

Retention & your choices

    SMS / mobile messaging

    • Mobile numbers are collected only when a signed-in member enters their own number and checks the optional consent boxes in Settings → Alerts. Consent is never a condition of using the application.
    • Numbers, the consent choice, and its timestamp are used solely to deliver transactional workflow alerts (approval status changes and @ mentions) to that member.
    • No mobile information is sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, other than our SMS delivery provider (Telnyx) solely to transmit the messages.
    • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, or STOP at any time to cancel.

    Retention & your choices

    • Content and audit records are retained for as long as the account is active or as needed for the workflow.
    • Members can remove their mobile number or withdraw text consent at any time in Settings → Alerts, or by replying STOP.
    • To request access to or deletion of your data, email jerry@connectdots.la.

    Security

    Access requires a sign-in, and data access is restricted by role (admin, editor, viewer) with row-level rules enforced in the database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
